Macgregor, a leading trade order management technology provider needed a public relations firm to help them with brand awareness and strategy. Hunter + Co Communications became Macgregor’s public relations firm of record providing strategic media relations and crisis communications counseling.
Hunter + Co worked with Macgregor on several fronts to help them raise awareness and visibility in the financial service technology sector as well as with the business and trade press.
By developing a targeted media relations strategy and establishing Macgregor as a dominant player in the financial service technology category, Macgregor was ultimately acquired by a major financial service technology provider for over $200m.
Hunter + Co Communications recently worked with Energy Star on the Change a Light, Change the World Campaign, (sponsored nationally by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that encouraged residents and businesses of New York and New Jersey to take a pledge to become more energy efficient and help protect the environment.
This campaign encouraged New Yorkers and New Jersey residents to switch the most frequently used lights in their home to Energy Star qualified ones or compact fluorescent bulbs (CFL’s). This project involved the planning and execution of several high profile events in New York and New Jersey including a telethon style event and press conference held in New York City’s Union Square where the EPA culminated its national Energy Star Change a Light Bus tour as well as a targeted advertising and media relations effort in New York and parts of New Jersey.
The overall campaign was a success and raised heightened awareness and visibility for Energy Star qualified lighting products.
Established in 1992, Energy Star is a joint program between the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy designed to help save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
Hunter + Co Communications worked with InfoReach (www.inforeach.com), a global provider of high performance electronic trading technology for capital markets for over five years as its public relations agency of record.
Hunter + Co worked closely with its CEO Alan Zaydlin on many strategic public relations initiatives and events for its offices in New York, Chicago and Amsterdam. Hunter + Co greatly increased InfoReach’s awareness and visibility in the financial services technology sector as well as with the general business media during that time.
As a result, InfoReach experienced continued revenue growth and a surge in demand for its HFT products despite the global financial downturn and IT spending cuts that caused widespread revenue declines in the industry.
